YÖK Data Analysis School 2025-2026: Artificial Intelligence Training

I joined the YÖK Data Analysis School 2025-2026 to revisit artificial intelligence and data-analysis topics that I had already used in academic and professional work within a structured training program.

The program was conducted under the Council of Higher Education of Türkiye (YÖK), coordinated by Marmara University Institute of Population and Social Research, with contributions from Middle East Technical University, Istanbul Technical University and Boğaziçi University. Its modules combined theoretical and applied work in data analysis, statistics and artificial intelligence.

I completed two modules:

• Artificial Intelligence and Facilitating Tools
• Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning

The first module covered AI-based tools, applications supporting data-analysis workflows, programming and generative AI. The second addressed supervised and unsupervised learning together with generative AI and large language models.

A substantial part of this subject matter was already familiar to me through earlier work in speech and image processing, pattern recognition, data analysis and machine learning. The value of the program was therefore in revisiting those methods within a curriculum shaped by academic instruction, assignments and formal assessment.

Participation and Certification

I completed the attendance and assessment requirements for both modules and successfully passed their examinations. I received four documents in total:

• Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning - Participation Certificate
• Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning - Achievement Certificate
