YÖK Digital University Platform 2026-2027: Artificial Intelligence Training

2026–Present
YÖK Digital University Platform 2026-2027: Artificial Intelligence Training

My 2026–2027 training at the YÖK Digital University Platform: Machine Learning and Modern Software Development modules, course schedule and session notes.

I have been accepted into the 2026–2027 Digital University Platform programme, led by the Council of Higher Education of Türkiye (YÖK), and have begun my training at the School of Artificial Intelligence. I selected Artificial Intelligence: Machine Learning and Modern Software Development for this academic year.

In 2025–2026, I attended Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence and Facilitating Tools at the YÖK Data Analysis School, completing both modules and receiving participation and achievement certificates. I am continuing this work by studying machine learning alongside modern software development practices.

The programme is coordinated by the Marmara University Institute of Population and Social Research and Yıldız Technical University, with academic contributions from Boğaziçi University, Istanbul Technical University and Middle East Technical University. The opening takes place on 3 November 2026, while my selected modules run from March to June 2027.

Programme Structure and Selected Modules

The first two stages contain common classes. The third stage, devoted to the selected modules, begins in March 2027. Both of my modules meet online for three hours per week.

Artificial Intelligence: Machine Learning

Course period: 5 March – 4 June 2027 Day and time: Friday, 14:00–17:00 Scheduled sessions: 13 weeks

This module covers machine learning, neural networks, deep learning, transformer architectures and reinforcement learning. I will study model building from data, the evaluation of model outputs and the application of learned representations to new problems. Practical topics include predictive models, document-grounded assistants and AI agents that use external tools.

I will develop the algorithmic and mathematical topics alongside my Academy notes on Statistical Learning and Machine Learning, Neural Networks and Large Language Models.

Modern Software Development

Course period: 3 March – 2 June 2027 Day and time: Wednesday, 14:00–17:00 Scheduled sessions: 12 weeks

In Modern Software Development, I will work on requirements specification, software design, modular architecture, AI-assisted development and systematic verification. The module follows the process of turning an idea into working software, including testability, maintainability and the management of the development lifecycle.

I will connect the methods covered in the sessions with my notes on Software Engineering, Intent-Oriented Programming and Software Test Engineering. I plan to expand the relevant sections on requirements verification, agent-assisted development and software testing as the course progresses.

Training Schedule and Session Notes

  • 3 November 2026: Digital University Platform opening.
  • 10 November – 16 December 2026: First stage of common classes.
  • 21 December 2026 – 22 January 2027: Second stage of common classes.
  • 23 January – 28 February 2027: Term break.
  • 3 March – 2 June 2027: Modern Software Development module.
  • 5 March – 4 June 2027: Artificial Intelligence: Machine Learning module.

As the programme progresses, I will record the dates of the sessions I attend, the subjects covered and my practical notes in this section. More detailed treatments of algorithms, models and software architecture will be incorporated into the corresponding Academy courses.

Participation and Certification

I intend to attend both modules and complete their practical work and assessments. The programme awards participation certificates to learners who meet the attendance requirements and achievement certificates to those whose average quiz score is at least 50. I will add my certificates and completed work here at the end of the programme.
