RTOS

Turkish equivalent: Gerçek zamanlı işletim sistemiDomain: Embedded Systems

An operating system designed to provide deterministic or bounded scheduling and interrupt behavior for time-constrained embedded workloads.

Embedded-System Context

An RTOS is built around predictable scheduling and bounded interrupt or IPC behavior for time-constrained software. Preemptive priority scheduling and deterministic synchronization can matter more than average throughput or free memory when deadlines define correctness.

Real-Time Boundary

Running on an RTOS does not make an application hard real-time. Worst-case execution time, priority inversion, interrupt load, blocking I/O, and resource sharing still require explicit analysis.
