USE Method
A systems-observability method that evaluates each resource through Utilization, Saturation, and Errors.
Observability Context
The USE method examines each finite resource in terms of Utilization, Saturation, and Errors. Applying the same questions to CPU, storage, network links, thread pools, and similar resources makes bottleneck investigation more systematic.
Interpretation Boundary
High utilization is not necessarily a problem. Saturation, queueing, errors, and user-visible latency determine whether the resource is actually constraining the workload.
