Redo Log
Oracle's sequential record of database changes used to support instance recovery, media recovery, and durability.
Oracle Runtime Context
Oracle redo is a sequential record of database changes used for durability, instance recovery, and media recovery. LGWR writes redo from memory to online redo logs, and a commit completes after the required redo reaches the durable log path and is associated with database logical time.
Semantics Boundary
Redo is not an audit log. It records recovery-oriented change information rather than a business-level narrative of who performed an action and why.
