GraalVM
A high-performance Java runtime ecosystem that includes the Graal compiler and native-image technology alongside JVM execution capabilities.
JVM Runtime Context
GraalVM is a Java runtime ecosystem that includes the Graal compiler and Native Image alongside normal JVM execution. The JIT mode can apply aggressive runtime optimization, while Native Image uses closed-world analysis to compile an application ahead of time.
Performance Boundary
GraalVM is not one performance mode. JVM JIT execution and Native Image have different startup, peak-throughput, memory, reflection, and deployment trade-offs that must be measured for the target workload.
