Arena
A scoped region used to manage the lifetime of off-heap or foreign memory allocations as a group.
JVM Runtime Context
An Arena defines the lifetime and accessibility of memory segments used by the Foreign Function and Memory API. Confined, shared, and automatically managed arenas make different choices about thread access and cleanup, and segments associated with a closed arena become invalid.
Resource-Lifetime Boundary
An Arena is not a general replacement for the garbage-collected Java heap. It exists to make off-heap and foreign-memory lifetimes explicit and bounded.
