The Oracle RAC service that coordinates global ownership and transfer of cached database blocks among instances.
Technical Context
GCS tracks block roles and orchestrates transfers needed for current and consistent access. High global-cache wait time can indicate workload affinity problems, hot blocks, interconnect latency, or contention rather than ordinary local buffer-cache misses.
