TLS 1.3
A modern transport-security protocol version that reduces handshake complexity, removes obsolete algorithms, and provides forward-secure encrypted communication.
Cryptographic Context
TLS 1.3 simplifies the protocol by removing many legacy cipher and key-exchange choices, centers forward-secure ephemeral key exchange, and reduces handshake round trips compared with earlier TLS versions.
Security Boundary
TLS protects data in transit and authenticates endpoints according to the selected certificate or PSK mode, but it does not by itself solve application authorization, account security, or compromise of either endpoint.
