Head-of-Line Blocking
A queueing condition in which one delayed item prevents later independent work from progressing even when those items could otherwise be processed.
Boundaries
Head-of-line blocking is caused by ordering constraints around a delayed item; ordinary queueing delay can occur without this specific dependency.
